The Pregnancy and Parenting Center is a 501c-3, faith-based, non-profit organization serving Florence and the surrounding area.  We began as a satellite of the Caring Pregnancy Center of Coos Bay, Oregon, in 2000 and were called the Florence Caring Pregnancy Center. On January 1, 2005, we began operating as an independent center; and in 2018, we began doing business as the Pregnancy and Parenting Center. We first opened in order to be a place of support for pregnant teens. Twenty years later we continue to offer a safe space for those making difficult pregnancy decisions as well as being a welcoming place to prepare for and grow in parenting skills. All our services are free, confidential, and available to anyone.Our 2 staff members and 5 volunteers provide about 35 prenatal, parenting, and life skills classes each month to moms and dads. Through our Earn While You Learn Program, we give out over 500 diapers a month and many items of clothing.  We have over 200 quality prenatal, parenting, and life skills classes to pick from.
